An Advent Prayer for Our Children and Grandchildren

Life After Death: Resources for TG discussion Fri Dec 9 2011

NONE of us has all the answers. And ultimately it has to be God to turn a heart to Him. But it helps if we have a good foundation with answers to some of the more common questions people ask/have. Here are a few resources to help answer the question: What Happens After We Die?

You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!” See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Isa. 40:9-11

Parent Reource: Surviving the Strong-Willed Child

EVERYone has a strong will, to some degree. Most of us hide it, others of us wear it on our sleeve! For parents this can be a very challenging aspect f parenting and raising kids that love the Lord. It's all too easy just to parent behavior and not shepherd and train the hearts of our children.

Back in May I heard this GREAT two-day program on Focus on the Family with Cynthia Tobias, author, speaker, and mom! It's a GREAT tool that I hope will help you take a step in your parenting.
